This is the official home page of the
Northern Maritime Model  Society Inc.
Sailing Division
This is a club situated just south of Auckland City NZ, and races International One Metre class Yachts every Wednesday and Sunday (10.30am) at alternate locations in both Manurewa and East Tamaki. All vistors are welcome to bring their yachts along and join in the very convivial and relatively low key race meetings each week. We are also looking for new members to help swell our ranks. At our Manurewa location (Wattle Farm) we feel we have one of the most suitable R/C sailing locations in the whole of New Zealand, if not the world and feel it is greatly under utilised so please come along and help us put that right!

Not that many years ago fleets of 20 or more yachts could be seen sailing here on a regular basis, sailing in clear open weed free conditions, with more than enough room to lay out large open courses giving even large fleets room to sail without congestion. We have our own club house on site with hot water and public conveniences, which is more than other clubs in the Auckland area can offer.
